Category chosen for Corner Coffee: Dining. In the app, the change is saved and used for the same merchant next time.

Search the list, or pick a new category on any row. Amounts in another currency show their approximate value in your base currency.

Find a transaction

  • Date: This month (default), Last month or All time.
  • Account and Category filters narrow the list. Clear resets them.
  • Search looks in the description, merchant and notes.

Transactions load 50 at a time; select Load more for older ones. On a wider screen, View → Table shows a sortable table. Sorting applies to the rows already loaded; filters and search always cover everything.

Amounts in another currency show their approximate value in your base currency underneath.

Categorise

Select the category on any row to change it. A transaction with no category shows Categorize.

Euporia categorises imported transactions for you, in this order:

  1. The category in your file, if it has one.
  2. A rule you created.
  3. How you categorised the same merchant before.
  4. Common keywords in the description.

Categorisation doesn't use AI. When you change a category yourself, Euporia uses it for that merchant in future imports.

Edit a transaction

Select a transaction, or View details from its menu, to open it.

  • Display name: rename the merchant as you want to see it (up to 200 characters). Type the original statement name to undo a rename.
  • Category, and Always categorise this merchant to create a rule for future transactions with the same statement name.
  • Notes: up to 2,000 characters.

Transaction details shows the account, the original statement name and where it came from: Imported from a file or Added manually. Change history lists the last 20 changes. Select Save changes.

Add a transaction by hand

Select Add transaction to record cash, or a payment that isn't in a file yet. Choose Expense or Income, the amount, date and category. Manual transactions use your base currency.

Delete a transaction

Choose Delete… from the row menu, or delete from the editor. It's removed from your reports and budgets, and you can't undo it. Only the person who added a transaction, or the space's owner, can delete it.

Rules

A rule acts on every future import. In the Rules tab, select New rule:

  • When merchant/description contains: at least 2 characters, not case sensitive.
  • Set category to and/or Rename merchant to.
  • Apply to existing transactions now updates matching transactions you already have.

If two rules match, the newest one wins. Removing a rule stops it running on future imports; changes it already made are kept.

Recurring charges

Euporia can find subscriptions and regular bills in your history. In the Recurring tab, select Check for recurring charges. Euporia looks at the last 13 months for merchants charged at least twice at a regular interval: weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly or yearly.

Each charge shows its next expected date and last amount, and was … when the price changed. Select Not recurring to dismiss one; it won't be detected again. Run the check again after each import to pick up new ones.

Export your transactions

Select Export to download every transaction in your space as a CSV file (euporia-transactions-YYYY-MM-DD.csv). For your security, Euporia asks you to sign in again if your last sign-in was more than 10 minutes ago. The file re-imports into Euporia unchanged.
